TITLE: Jaundice Shmaundice!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALTERNATE TITLE: GEICO humor delves into reality

The new roller coaster at Busch Gardens has nothing on the range of emotions Sharon and I went through this morning. We were told that Jarek had unacceptable levels of Potassium, Acid, Sodium, something that starts with a "c", CO2 (which I still don't get), and about three other things. As if that wasn't bad enough news, the Doctor followed up stating that she has never seen these levels and was outside of her expertise. She continued to state that we would get another blood test done to make sure and then be admitted to a hospital with specialists that hopefully could help. She then, stated that we could not rule out any possibility of diseases accept Cancer. It was that bad!! Sharon and I were wrecks and tried to pull it together for about 4 hours. (I think we did a good job by the way). Next, we received a call from the Doctor reporting the last blood test results. She said his levels were perfect and we could go home. Can you believe that?

So, me being sceptical cannot fully calm down. The Doctor assured us that once the levels are where they need to be that they will not go back, and all is well. Our next appointment is Thursday, which will be tough to do again after this whole ordeal.

I felt like we were living a GEICO commercial: [DOCTOR SPEAKS] "Your son's billi report, potassium, sodium, acid, and something that starts with a "c" are all at levels that I have never seen before and I can no longer help you. But I have good news..." What a whirlwind of a week, I feel like I am in a glass cage of emotion! I will keep you all updated.

What a crazy scenario. I'm so sorry you all had such a scare, and I'm so relieved for the good report. Jarek is such a cutie, and those pictures will be great to pull out and embarrass him with as he gets older.
